Description
Mussels #1 is one of a series of six chalk pastel paintings. A concentration of the color blue, of movement and the appreciation of the mussel shell is what inspired me to paint a series of six because one just isn’t enough. The empty mussel shells were collected from a lovely beach in Alaska, washed and arranged in a box which from there I painted the Mussel series.
